The GIZ-GRAPE II (Green Recovery and Private Sector Engagement) Nepal programme is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The SME Hub is a component of GRAPE II designed to reduce the regulatory burden on Nepal's small and medium-sized enterprises. Nepal's complex multi-level regulatory environment — spanning federal, provincial, and local government jurisdictions — creates significant information asymmetries for business owners, especially outside the Kathmandu Valley.
This platform aggregates regulatory information from 12 key bodies, maps 342 business processes, and presents them in a user-friendly bilingual interface (English/Nepali) accessible on both desktop and mobile devices.
